This weekend was good modding. It felt like the good old days when I was creating Dibella’s Watch for Oblivion; modding all-day and well into the late night hours and doing good stuff. I ended my efficient weekend with setting up a few more new NPC’s, doing my first patrolling soldier in the street, among other things, as well as actually creating the first merchant in Primby Town. This merchant is a smith and sells the player weapons and armour and also buys things. The process in creating a merchant was not as straightforward as with Oblivion, but it’s doable. Now I know why there are so few merchants in vanilla Skyrim.
The layout for the merchant is different. How come? Do you use a mod?
Oh yes. Sorry. That’s the SkyUI, which is probably the best mod for Skyrim so far. It makes the PC User Interface a lot more user friendly. I’ll post the link later on. Skyrim Nexus is down.
EDIT: Here’s the link to SkyUI. It’s really recommended for all PC players. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863
Thanks for the link, I wil check it out!
Hmmm it sounds like the process for making a Merchant is really daunting… =/ ?
Once you get the hang of it, it’s real easy, but it’s so different from the simple tick-boxes we had in Morrowind and Oblivion to create merchants.
