Azura’s Watch is a mod for Skyrim. AW grew out of my first grand-scale mod for Skyrim, Frontier. AW started as just me trying to create a tropical island; it wasn’t very pretentious and I just wanted a personal place to relax from the cold and inhospitable aggressiveness of the rest of Skyrim. As such, this mod grew into something more than I had imagined, but that initial idea of beauty and tranquility will still be its foundation. Don’t expect a lot of violence in this tropical paradise; expect beauty, scenery, relaxation and exploration!
I’ve done big mods before. (Ref: Fairy Tale for Civ4, Dibella’s Watch for Oblivion). I am a one-man-modding-army! Unfortunately, recently, I’ve been sidetracked with a lot of new and different games, so, while before, I could do mega-mods in a fast pace, it’s now taking longer to finish my stuff. Don’t worry. AW will be finished and released.

That sounds incredible, Dont forget the fun and I am sold on this! =)
Thanks! That’s sound advice. Sometimes when I did my last mod for Oblivion, I really found myself losing the fun every now and then. Then I took a break from it for a couple of days and played other games or something. The fun is why we do it, and we shouldn’t forget.
Hi antiscamp
Ive added your blog to my blogroll, hope you dnt mind.
Thanks! I’ll add you too. I play strategy games too, so your blog is quite interesting to me. π
Hello AntiScamp, just took a peek in and I would like to say that it looks absolutely fabulous π So good luck, I am looking forward to your publishing it. Besides, if you get bored annoyed by modding, you can try some “ancient crafts” (I mean in reality). I love blacksmithing, and I am going to spend most of the upcoming summer doing that…. given that you won’t be extremely fast with modding. π
Sounds like a beautiful mod. I’ll surely be one to try it ^^
This is really going to be fun. When you said the south island is inhabited and the north is wilderness, I immediately thought of New Zealand.
Yep. New Zealand was once a wild Frontier too. It is from eras and areas like that much of the inspiration for Frontier is taken.
One of your post tells that you removed exterior cells. I was wondering, how did you do it?
I asked on the official forum and got quite a few good answers on the issue. It’s quite complicated but I was able to perform it without crashes, problems or any hassle at all. I followed the procedure outlined here. Good luck! π
I’m anticipating this more than the elder scrolls online
I am looking foward to play with this mod π
“.. relax from the cold and inhospitable aggressiveness of the rest of Skyrim ..”
Holiday from, but in Skyrim. Perfect.
No fighting, just taking some nice beach-shots π .. i LUV it.
That’s the idea, yes. I hope to have a bit of a storyline too, but it won’t be too aggressive or combat-focused.
